Censorship is the suppression, alteration, or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, music, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security. Censorship is an action that has been performed for many years on several subjects of the world, and it is still happening today. Although censorship is an action occurred on many subjects, music is one of the biggest censorship problems in today’s world. Music can have both positive and negative effects on a person in society. Either way, music shapes everyday lives of people around the world. Censorship of music is crucial in today’s society for protecting moral values, little children, and keeping music that has bad influences on others out of society.†¦show more content†¦Protecting the young people in today’s society is important because they are the future, if they are raised right, it will be carried on to their kids and so on. Censorship of music in the United Sta tes dates back to the 1800’s after the Civil War when people in the south were banned from singing confederate songs. And censorship of music is still happening today. With music uncensored, little kids and adolescents are likely to think that everything they hear in the music they listen to is acceptable in today’s society. Many songs in today’s society mention use of drugs, alcohol, sex, violence, cursing, and mistreatment of others. If people of today’s society want our future generations to be fine with these traits and acceptable with wrong things happening in our world, vote for no censorship. Listening to society’s songs uncensored will influence kids to be active in violence, drugs, alcohol, and other disrespectful activities at a younger age. This will impact our world to continue to roll down hill in the act of violence and war. If uncensorship impacts the world, our future generations will have no morals, everything will be ok.
